News: 2 days agoWilliams has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Mystics due to reconditioning, WNBA reporter Kareem Copeland reports.

Spin: Williams missed the start of training camp due to an overseas commitment, and she'll be unavailable for Wednesday's preseason finale while she works on her conditioning following her absence. However, it seems likely that she'll be able to get back into game shape ahead of the Sky's Opening Night matchup against the Fire on May 9.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Williams was limited to just nine appearances in 2024 due to a knee injury, but she returned to full health in 2025 and made 43 regular-season appearances. However, she made just 15 starts after starting each of her first 49 regular-season outings with Chicago, and she was held to 8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 21.1 minutes per game, all of which were down from her debut season with the Sky in 2023. Williams maintained a decent fantasy floor but had limited upside while sharing the frontcourt with Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. The 32-year-old Williams was an unrestricted free agent ahead of 2026, but she elected to re-join the Sky during the offseason. The Sky traded Reese to Atlanta this spring but brought in Rickea Jackson and Azura Stevens, so Williams will continue to have to share work in the frontcourt and could have to play mainly off the bench once again.
